Rajut Free Knitting Pattern : Headband

Here you are.
Ma first knitted headband!
For the motive, i got inspired from here.



Free Knitting Pattern :

Cast On = 3 sts
* make i-cord for about 25 cm

* increase :
1 = (RS) KF&B three times (6 sts)
for all wrong side (WS)= purl all
3 = KF&B, k4, KF&B (8 sts)
5 = KF&B, k6, KF&B (10 sts)
7 = KF&B, k8, KF&B (12 sts)
9 = KF&B, k10, KF&B (14 sts)
11 = KF&B, k12, KF&B (16 sts)

* start the pattern :
1 =(RS) es, k14, es
2 = es, p14, es
3 = es, k1, [sl1, k3, psso the 3 k stitches] repeat until 2 stitches remain, k1, es
4 = es, [p3, yo] repeat to last two stitches, p1, es

* decrease :
1 =(RS) SSK, k12, K2tog (14 sts)
for all wrong side (WS)= purl all
3 = SSK, k10, K2tog (12 sts)
5 = SSK, k8, K2tog (10 sts)
7 = SSK, k6, K2tog (8 sts)
9 = SSK, k4, K2tog (6 sts)
11 = SSK, SSK, K2tog (3 sts)

* knit i-cord again.
Bind Off

* crochet the edge if necessary.

Abbreviations

* yo - yarn over
* sl - slip one stitch
* psso - pass slipped stitch over
* es - edge stitch; knit on right side, purl on wrong side
* rs - right side
* KF&B - knit in front and back
