Rajut Free Knitting Pattern : Little Deer Hat

I got interested at this pattern since first time I seen it. But never get opportunity to try it until now.

I actually only used the antlers and ears pattern. For the hat, i just used very basic hat pattern, and did not follow this pattern (actually, It was because I did not read the instruction, and realize that the hat pattern is different when I already finished the hat :p )

yarn = SA Poyeng (hat), SP Poyeng (antlers)
needle = 4 mm DPN

An advice from me, you better make the antlers separated from hat then sew them. It will make you easier to adjust the antler's position.

Book Review : Knitted Dolls

I had this book for months. But never had opportunity to try it... until now.
(Yeah, without great willpower, this doll would never happen. :p)

And here it is, a doll I made for one who i consider as a close friend.

This doll made from SP Poyeng yarn in 4mm knitting needle. Has 53cm height.
The hat and hair made from SA Poyeng yarn, also in 4mm knitting needle.

Pattern all followed from this book.

published by Search Press, ltd
200 pages |650 gr

This book is good! It tells you how to knit a particular shape of a human doll, and give you many clothes design for the doll.

The explanations are clear and easy to follow.
The doll give to you all in written pattern. But the clothes pattern, provided with chart too.

You can choose the skin color, under clothes, eye color, hair color, and hair cut, by yourself. And doing that is very fun!!

So, for me, this book is recommended to be added to your bookshelf at home.

Happy Knitting!!

me as a Pattern Tester (Ravelry) : December 2014

Hi there,

Long time not posting anything. Not because I didn't knit, but because I now seldom using free pattern again, and just knit without pattern instead.

If you joined Ravelry, you will know a group named FPT or Free Pattern Testers. I already joined this group since I first joined Ravelry, but only since last week I starting to try to be a pattern tester here. Mainly because I have some free time. And also I want to know the system of this group, because I want to use this group in designer side too sometime.

These are my knitting work for this group last December :

I consider myself as a fast knitter and make quite decent photo.
Love to make small knitting (like hat, neck warmer, baby accessories, or fingerless), and prefer using 4mm needle. and regular (not fancy) yarn.

I will gladly testing yarns too, If any yarnie want to send me some sample.. :p

happy Knitting!!
